old and new friends. Your support has made the Evening Out one of 
our most successful fundraisers to date.A special thank you to John

at the Canon Theatre. You helped to make the evening an

2009-2010 Season Update







Along with the previously announced productions of Intimate Apparel 
and who knew grannie: a dub aria, Obsidian is pleased to announce 
that we will be co-producing Yellowman with Nightwood Theatre.

A 2002 Pulitzer Prize for Drama Finalist and winner of the 2002-2003 
Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, this seminal play is an edgy and 
provocative examination of the complexities of inter-race prejudice. 
Yellowman tells the story of Eugene, a light-skinned black man and 
his relationship with Alma, a dark-skinned black woman.  An 
intriguingly dramatic look at how we see those around us.
