Hello All,

So here we are in June already. How did that happen? Every year time seems to move just a tiny bit faster and I am not sure that I like that very much. In any event here are a couple to things to take your mind off things like time and speed.

First up, on the Dora Mavor Moore Alert we are pleased to announce that Tamara Marie Kucheran has been nominated for the second year in a row for her Costume Designs for an Obsidian production. She won last year for her stunning Intimate Apparel designs and this year we will be rooting for her on June 29^th as her evocative design for Black Medea is in the running. Congratulations Tamara!

July 21^st will see us at the Canon Theatre dancing to our second Evening with Obsidian event. We will be rocking to the Jimmy Cliff tunes in The Harder They Come and we should not be dancing alone. So check out the information below and reserve your tickets now as they are going very quickly.

And that’s us closing off our 2008-2009 Season. Well, except for the prep for our year end audit and that’s always big fun.

Next season is our 10^th Anniversary and we have some wonderful plans in the works. I want to thank everyone who has supported us over the last 9 years. Without that support Obsidian could not have grown from just an idea to this thriving reality.

We will be keeping in touch over the summer but on behalf of the Board, the staff {Harmony, Jordi, Dian} and I, we would like to wish you all a fabulous summer.
