shaniqua in abstraction, written and performed by bahia watson is an afro-surrealist tragicomedy that colourfully attempts to unpack the baggage of Black womanhood.
Through a casting call, one actor slips into a narrative multiverse, unfurling Back and whiteness, and journeying inside stereotypes like jezebel, sapphire, and mammy, as she seeks to find the upright in the crooked room of perception.
